Air Bleed-off Valve

Veljan Air Bleed-off Valves are specialized hydraulic components designed to automatically vent trapped air from a pump's discharge line during system start-up. In high-pressure hydraulic circuits, air pockets can prevent a pump from priming against system pressure; these valves provide a low-resistance path for air to escape to the reservoir. Once the air is purged and solid fluid reaches the valve, it automatically closes, allowing the system to reach its full operating pressure of up to 4500 psi (310 bar). This essential function ensures immediate pump lubrication and prevents the cavitation damage that often occurs during dry starts.
